As I horse rider myself I understand the physical demands of riding a horse which unlike the general thought of our non-equestrians pals we do not just sit there and look pretty!

Horse riding is in fact is a highly skilled sport requiring high levels of fitness, co-ordination, strength and flexibility from both horse AND rider to create the vision of an ‘effortless performance’.

It is becoming increasingly more well known that a high percentage of your horses way of going is down to you as the rider. I have been there, invested a lot of time and money into correcting our horses imbalances and weaknesses but you must not forget YOU play a crucial part in your partnership and having a little ‘me time’ to focus on you will not only improve your posture and stability in the saddle, but also help improve the horses movement and wellbeing.
